Upcycled T-Shirt Leggings and Shorts PDF Sewing Pattern
The Upcycled T-Shirt Leggings and Shorts PDF Sewing Pattern is a pattern that reuses almost any adult KNIT item of clothing and remakes it into shorts, leggings, or cropped leggings. It is one digital download (1 PDF) delivered immediately.
It has both a tiled pattern that can be printed and taped together, and a large A0 size to take to a copyshop.
This pattern can only be used with a knit adult item of clothing like a t-shirt, leggings, dress, or skirt; it cannot be used with fabric by the yard. It's a great PDF Pattern for confident beginners wanting to learn to work with knit fabric.
This pattern includes step-by-step instructions, illustrations, and all the pattern pieces. For help sewing the pattern you can watch the Upcycled T-shirt Leggings video.
The pattern has pattern pieces for sizes 2T, 3T, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10. The fit is slim, but for children who are extra skinny it fits like classic slim pajama pants. For children who are average to husky the leggings will fit tight.
The first view of the pattern is leggings that reuses the original hem from the item of clothing. Use stretch fabric, and it works well with hem details on the side.
The second view of the pattern is leggings that have a cuff. I like to use this view when I've already used the hem from a garment and still have a lot of fabric left. Use stretch fabric.
The third view of the pattern is a pair of fitted mid-thigh shorts that reuses the original hem from the item of clothing. Use stretch fabric, and it works well with hem details on the side.
The fourth view of the pattern is a pair of cropped leggings that reuses the original hem from the item of clothing. Use stretch fabric, and it works well with hem details on the side.
