This is a free printable to help guide you when planning your handmade wardrobe. It helps you see what you already have, so you can make something that works with your closet. Even if you sew slowly and work on one project at a time the free handmade wardrobe planner helps you visually see outfits you can put together.
This is a PDF downloadable printable that you can print as many times as you want. It has a title and arrows to help you know what to put in each square. You can either draw a picture of the item of clothing or you can print a picture and glue it in. You can also change it to a image file and digitally drag and drop the pictures into each square.
The free handmade wardrobe planner is basically a series of rectangles that you fill in with your garments. If you are planning around a top you place that in the rectangle in the middle, then you fill the top three rectangles with layers that work with that top. Then you fill the rectangles with bottoms that will go with the top and layer.
It works slightly different for each piece, layer, top, or bottom, that you're planning. You don't have to fill up each rectangle, you don't have to use layers or maybe your layers are scarves or necklaces, but it gives a visual of outfits. You can see an example of how I used the printable to check if a Tencel vest would work in my wardrobe. I also shared some steps for making a versatile handmade wardrobe using the printable.
