Make an adorable top for your baby girl with this free babydoll tee pattern. It iss a free sewing pattern that only uses just one fat quarter of knit fabric! It's a great scrap fabric project!
This PDF downloadable pattern comes in only ONE SIZE, 18 mos, and only ONE STYLE, a babydoll top. You can find all the instructions for cutting and sewing it in the babydoll tee pattern tutorial.
This pattern is great for little toddler girls. It requires knit fabric with at least 25% stretch. Read about how to sew knit fabric to make it easier. I would recommend cotton spandex jersey for the most success with this pattern. If your neckline stretches out, cut a smaller piece for a new neckline. You can also lengthen the skirt piece as much as you'd like to make and easy dress!
Have you ever tried sewing something from a fat quarter of knit fabric or just using your scraps? Do you have knit remnants that are big enough to be saved but you struggle to find a project for it? This is a fun free babydoll tee pattern that will use up those knit fabric remnants or a fat quarter of knit fabric!
If you have really small pieces you could make the bodice, sleeves, and neckband from one fabric, and then you could make the skirt out of coordinating or contrasting fabric. You could also cut every single pattern piece from different knit fabric for a really unique dress. I reccomend matching the weight and stretch of all the different fabrics you use. You could eliminate the gathered skirt and add a circle skirt for maximum twirling instead.
